What’s that old saying about never getting a second chance to make a first impression? Chase Hayden made the most of his chance on Thursday night.
Hayden — the former Mr. Football winner and 2015 state champion from St. George’s — was terrific in his first college game as Arkansas rolled over visiting Florida A&M, 49-7.
The 5-10, 191-pounder gained 120 yards on just 14 carries and scored a touchdown and became just the fourth Razorback in school history to surpass 100 yards in his first game. The others were Jerry Eckwood (1975), Felix Jones (2003) and Alex Collins (2013).
